I just finished listening to the album. Its safe to say that it is very... unique.
.... Different, but not in a bad way. It is very easy to listen (and dance) to, and if you really pay attention, it feels very little like their last album Dangerous and Moving which I found, was - besides simply awesome - very angst ridden (I dont know, it kinda set a dark scenario that not many albums manage to pull off).
Now, Im not saying that Веселые улыбки does not have obscure lyrics, because, in a way, it does (it really depends on your point of view though). I mean, to me, Fly on The Wall sounded a little... kinda, sorta -obsessive (romantic, but obsessive nontheless...). But maybe thats just me watching too much Yuri Anime, more specifically, where one of the characters becomes an Evil!Psycho!Lesbian stalker.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand, Веселые улыбки has 12 beautiful tracks. Which (at the risk of sounding juvenile) totally kick ass. Though I enjoyed some more than others.

...the album in itself is very powerful (ironic Art cover or not). Though, surprisingly (or not), I dont get the same kind of gay vibes that I got from listening to 200 km/h In The Wrong Lane (which had mayor gay vibes for obvious reasons) or Dangerous and Moving (which had noticeably less gay vibes than the first, but did have many, many "subtext").*shrug* I guess its finally me getting through my head that Yulia and Lena are not an item.

Anyway, according to wikipedia, the English version of the album has no confirmed release date, so it either 1)Will see a release in 2009 alongside the movie "You and I". 2) Is due out later on in the year (2008).
hm. All I have to say is that I hope is the latter. Im going crazy from waiting.
